Jeff Cuell (tenor sax, vocals)
Jeff has been a professional musician for over two decades, playing in everything from rock cover bands to jazz combos. His vocal style ranges from rockabilly influences to great blues shouters like Howlin' Wolf. Jeff's saxophone recalls everything from "cool" jazz players to rock 'n roll honkers like King Curtis. His engaging personality and professional band leadership shows on and off stage. Accomplished and widely experienced as a front man, Jeff's a crowd pleaser.Bill Holtom (guitar, synth, vocals)
Bill is a seasoned and dedicated guitarist, singer, songwriter, and performer. His passionate and inventive guitar style crosses over many musical styles. Bill is a respected guitar teacher and is committed to music for the long term. Fun to watch and listen to, he delights both audiences and other musicians. Bill has played throughout Canada, the U.S. and overseas. An accomplished composer, Bill has written or co-written the originals played by the band.Clare Caldicott (string bass, vocals)
Clare provides a strong and steady low end foundation for the band. A committed musician and student of many schools of music, Clare (Rabbit) is a hard working veteran of the music scene. He provides a forceful beat and rhythmic feel to the music. His technical recording and web abilities helps bring the band's music to listeners.Greg Pickard (drums)
Greg's smooth yet syncopated drumming style provides a solid rhythmic complement to the swinging, up-tempo music of Slim Rooster. He has many years of experience in a variety of bands, and is a listening and sensitive player. Greg is also a capable sound man and can be depended upon to bring out the best quality sound for the band and the audience.SLIM ROOSTER
Slim Rooster can get rocky if the audience wants it, but the mainstay sound is tailor-made for people who want to talk with each other as well as hear good music. The beat is solid and improvisation is also there, but neither are over-emphasized. The music is chosen to entertain. Prepared with a large repertoire, Slim Rooster fits the music to the audience.This is great music to dance to so bring along a dance partner and your dancing shoes. You will be tapping your toes.
